At Choices Pregnancy Center, we strive to build relationships, demonstrate trustworthiness, and provide a safe and comfortable environment where our clients will be encouraged to grow in positive ways and will be shown the love of Jesus.
We affirm life as a gift from God, no matter what the circumstances. We empower people to make life-affirming and healthy decisions about sex, pregnancy and relationships.
All human life has value. God is the creator and sustainer of life, and life begins at conception.
Truth is essential in making good decisions. Providing accurate and complete information about abortion, parenting, and adoption is crucial because the choices our clients face have lifelong impact.
Sex is designed to be an integral part of marriage and can be harmful outside of those boundaries. People need love, support, and understanding in order to overcome challenges and to find the strength and resources to move toward a better future.
Choices Pregnancy Center is funded by donations and by a Positive Alternatives grant through the Minnesota Department of Health.
Are you interested in volunteering your talents or skills to help us keep offering our services at no cost to our clients? We have a variety of volunteer opportunities. Read our complete list to find out how you can help.
Believing that no woman should face a challenging pregnancy without hope and help, a group of community members set out to create Redwood Area Crisis Pregnancy Center. The center opened the doors of its first two-room office on January 25, 1993.
There, two co-directors and a team of volunteers provided free pregnancy tests and confidential, one-on-one consultations with women facing difficult pregnancy situations. New mothers received diapers and other baby supplies.
Since that time, we have moved to 4 different locations, changed our name to Choices Pregnancy Center, and added programs like Earn While You Learn, Sexual Integrity, and free Life Coaching. As an affiliate of Heartbeat International, the largest international network of pregnancy help ministries, we can offer our clients the cumulative benefits of continuing education, networking, and access to 24/7 help via OptionLine.
By far our biggest transition has been into offering medical services—limited obstetric ultrasound and nurse-read pregnancy testing—which our supporters helped us launch beginning in 2020. Through all these changes, our goal continues unchanged: to provide each generation in our community all the life-affirming service and support they need when pregnancy raises questions in their lives.
