Your limited obstetrical ultrasound appointment at Choices Pregnancy Center is handled with complete confidentiality, because your privacy is important to us. We desire to be a place where you feel comfortable and safe receiving thorough medical information along with all the time you need to discuss your questions.
Our professionally trained staff cares deeply for the clients we serve. Protecting your privacy and the confidentiality of your medical information is one of our top priorities. If your desire for confidentiality comes from being worried about your safety, please don’t hesitate to tell this to our staff during or before your appointment.
Privacy you can count on
All Choices Pregnancy Center staff members have access to client information. Volunteers do not have access to client information. All information remains private and confidential, including the fact that you visited us, the results of any medical tests, and the services you receive at our center.
You alone can choose, by giving written consent, to share information with someone else. Our record-keeping practices carefully maintain the confidentiality of your files.
Preserving your privacy in the center
During your ultrasound, a second person is always in the exam room with you and the nurse performing the scan. You may also bring a support person of your choice to join you during the appointment.
In both our Redwood Falls, MN, and Marshall, MN, centers, we provide private medical exam rooms with solid doors. Restrooms are accessible without walking through the waiting room.
Confidentiality upon entering
We understand that some women do not wish to be seen entering a pregnancy center. This may be an issue of personal safety or simply a desire to keep a pregnancy confidential. Both of our centers are located in buildings shared by other organizations, making it less certain to observers that your presence there is linked to pregnancy. Alternative entrances and exits may also be made available.
If you are concerned for your safety, please talk to our staff in advance. We will do everything we can to accommodate your need for privacy.
Contact us with your concerns
If you have any questions or concerns about confidentiality before your visit, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Our staff will be happy to explain what you can expect at an ultrasound appointment and the ways your privacy will be protected.
You can reach us by phone or text at 507-637-2534 during regular business hours, available on our Contact page.
